"Improving Our Beloved English and Its Institution" - Expository Text

EXPOSITORY TEXT

It has many texts genre include of itself. Such as:

1.    Explanation Text

2.    Description Text

3.    Contrast/Contrary Text

4.    Cause and Effect Text

If we want to write expository text, we can use among them or mix them. We can mix Explanation text with Contrast/Contrary Text as like text below. Actually, Expository text is one of main texts. It can drive the writer easily to write essay. It is caused the writer can chooses among them or mixs them. The following example of expository text can be seen below. 

Improving Our Beloved English and Its Institution

English is one of international languages. As the international language, almost country in the world applies English in the curriculum of school. Rule of this kind drive all of students in the world to learn English. However, English is not our first language, so we are very difficult to speak, write anything with using English. Almost all of students in the world grouch that English is difficult to learn. Yet, English is language which is needed to speak among a country one to other. So, every student in the world has to learn and master English whatever that will be happen. In this problem solving, many teachers strive to create the method which can be used to make the student learn English easily. But, as well as we know that nothing methods in this world which is better than the other one. With this, every method should fill a gap each them or the methods should mix when we learn or teach English. In this case, I have some way to improve the reader’s or learner’s English easily.

Unfortunately, improving our English is important; so we can learn English easily with satisfying in our heart. If we are a little bit to think, there are some ways that we can learn English easily and interestingly either beginner or in perfection. The first way to learn anything what we have not known or new knowledge is memorizing. Let’s remember when we were still children, our teacher taught us mathematic formula, part of body, history and else with memorizing. This problem is same with English course. In the beginning, when we want to learn English, we should memorize vocabulary first so that we can understand what the name of something which we looked, what we listen, and what we read.  The second way is listening. When we have memorized words/vocabulary, we should know how to pronounce it with listen on music or to person around us. Our vocabulary is useless if we do not how to pronounce it. It is caused our interlocutor will not understand what we speak. The third way in improving our English is speaking habitual. Almost scientist in the world said that anything which we get mastering is caused we do it habitually. After we memorized the vocabulary and knew how to pronunciation, we should coached it habitually. We can try it to our teacher, friends, parent, or maybe foreign either in abroad or tourist. When we try it firstly, we will feel nervous and almost wrong at all to speak English well. It is caused we are still in the beginning. But, our English will always increase as long as we try to speak it. The three ways above are basic to learn English.

However, our English should improve to high level even though our English is not as same as miner. After we learn English in the basic; we can continue to master it by six ways. The first, we can improve our English by watching English movie to neglect of using Indonesian subtitle on there. Thus, we can know how to the English speak English. Not only it, but we can learn new vocabulary that we have not memorized and listened yet before. Moreover, we can know idioms which the English uses to speak in daily activity. The second, we can improve our English by read English book. English book will drive us to find new words. As well as we know Indonesian book especially novel uses many supposition languages or language in high level, it is same in English. Improving our English by reading English book can make us to understand English in the high level or English literature. If we look the differences between English in the movies and on the book, it has many different words in using. Not only we can speak English of using daily activity words, but we can speak English of using English book. The third, we can improve our English in writing. There is aphorism which said “Read and Write”. After we have read English book, we should try to write our activity in the day or weekend. Either it has interesting story or not. Other aphorism said that “understand and try”. We will never increase our capability English on the book language without we try to do it. The next ways are only action on perfecting. Such as: sing English song, read and write English poem, drama practice and make conversation to foreigner in the internet.

In the contrary, there are some things that we should not do or avoid; so that our English capability does not decrease. The first is laziness. Our English capability will decrease if we are lazy. Either we are lazy to speak, read or memorize new vocabulary. The second is stolid. Our English capability is useless if we never practice it even it will be lost. English teacher ever said that “anything will be perfect if it is always used”. We should always try to speak or write it. The third is speaking or singing an Indonesian song habitually. Our English capability will decrease when we always speak Indonesian. It is caused we will forget our vocabulary or get impediment in one’s speech.

Anyway, it will not happen without there is our struggle. The habitual is the first way to master anything what we want. Thus, we will always remember what we have done. Finding out the method which is able to drive us easily to learn English is good, but it will be not perfect without our will. From our will becomes struggle, so we can improve our English easily and interestingly. Not only our English will improve, but its institution self will improve also. It is caused, the student who study in his institution will bring the reputable of it.
